Customer Services
Disabled Travellers
Responsibility for looking after disabled travellers rests with the Airline concerned, or their nominated handling agent. Thus, from the time of your check-in to the reclaim of baggage at the other end, all aspects of your journey will be attended to by the Airline or their agents.
Parking And Unloading
Reserved spaces for Disabled Badge holders are available in the public car parks. In addition, reserved spaces at the Terminal Forecourt can be used for picking up or dropping off passengers. It should be noted that the normal parking rates apply and there are no concessions for Disabled Badge holders
Check-in
All the Check-in desks are conveniently located just inside the Terminal, and the Airline staff are always in attendance to assist. A hearing aid loop broadcast system augments public address announcements.
Toilets
Toilets for the disabled visitor are located throughout the Terminal.
Telephones
All public telephones are accessible by wheelchair, and usable from that height.
Departures
The Security Search Area is located on the first floor and is accessible by lift for Wheelchair users.
At The Aircraft
Every assistance will be provided at the aircraft. Special purpose vehicles will be used, if necessary, to lift wheelchairs up to the aircraft doors. Companions who are travelling with disabled passengers will generally be able to accompany them throughout.
Arrivals
The same procedures and assistance will be provided on arrival.
We hope that all our facilities meet your needs, but if there is anything that we have overlooked, or that could be improved, then please do not hesitate to contact the Airport Standards Manager on 01624 821600.
